FSU License Plate
An easy way to support scholarships!
Every purchase or renewal of a Florida State University license plate enhances the university's academic excellence! Proceeds from the FSU license plate are directed to the FSU scholarship fund, thereby assisting deserving FSU students with financial support. Plus, your purchase of an FSU license plate is recorded as a donation to the university, which boost its academic ranking.
New purchases of the FSU license plate may be done online or by visiting your local Florida tag office. The cost for purchasing or renewing an FSU license plate is $25 in addition to other State of Florida fees. For a limited time, purchases of new FSU license plate are eligible for a one-time rebate (more information is provided below).
Rebates for new FSU license plate buyers
All new FSU license plates purchased between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012 are now eligible for a one-time $25 rebate! To receive your rebate just mail a copy of your vehicle registration with your new FSU tag number to the FSU License Plate Coordinator. As an alternative to mailing, you are welcome to scan and save your vehicle registration as a PDF and then e-mail that to the coordinator. Once it's confirmed that your vehicle registration corresponds to the first-time purchase of an FSU license plate, your rebate will be mailed to the address on the vehicle registration.
Give the FSU license plate as a gift
Gift certificates for the FSU license plate are available online and at authorized Florida tag offices. Gift certificates do not have to be purchased and redeemed at the same tag office, and proper identification when redeeming a gift certificate for a new FSU license plate -- or renewing an existing one -- is all that's required.
