Audiovisual (A/V)

Tallahassee has a variety of vendors offering A/V, sound and lighting services. For suggestions, call the Office of Special Events at 850.644.1000.

When working with an A/V company:

• Schedule a site visit with the company to ensure sufficient power is available
• Make sure there is sufficient access to event site and a loading dock
• Determine if you will need a TV, DVD player, projector, computer, laser pointer or additional lighting
• Determine how much time they will need to access the event site for setup
• Decide if a run-through of the event is warranted
  
  
  

Sound

For assistance with sound amplification, you will need to contact an off-campus vendor. The Office of Special Events uses sound engineer Ken Beattie, 850.980.0215.

When working with a sound engineer:

• Schedule a site visit to ensure sufficient power is available
• Make sure there is sufficient access to event site and loading dock if needed
• Determine how much time they will need to access event site for their setup
• Decide if a podium or wireless microphone is needed
• Find out if performers and/or musical instruments require microphones
  
  
  

Telecommunications

The Office of Telecommunications (OTC) can provide phone lines, data connections (wired and wireless), video and phone conferencing services and equipment along with other services for your event. Orders can be submitted on-line at: <www.otc.fsu.edu>. All requests should be made at least ten business days prior to your event.
