Lee Hinkle has been Florida State University's Vice President for University Relations and Advancement since April 2003. That means her job is reaching out to alumni, friends, fans and the community. She leads a team that includes the Florida State University Foundation, Seminole Boosters, Alumni Association, Government Relations, Special Events and University Communications.
Lee has more than three decades of experience in business and government. Her expertise includes government affairs, political strategy, public policy development, communications, public relations and marketing.
Her current position is like coming home. She's an alumna of Florida State University who was born in Maine and raised in Hillsborough County, Florida. She has been a strong advocate for the university since graduation, and she served on the Board of Trustees before she was appointed vice president.
Lee is well known throughout Tallahassee and Florida. She has served on numerous boards and been actively involved in community service throughout her career. She has received extensive recognition for her leadership.
